Towards Richmond, from Monaco

The Monaco peninsular stretches out across the Waimea Estuary towards Richmond. When the tide rises it becomes a great mirror reflecting the Richmond foreshore. The gulls swerve and sweep, quarrelling with each other over the scraps while the oystercatchers ignore them and get on with their own business. This view has remained one of my favourites for many years. It is always different and endlessly fascinating.
