When Hil and I travel around NZ she likes to walk and I like to paint. This is not really possible on the Routeburn. The best I could manage was a small A5 spiral-bound notebook and some watercolour pencils. I also took some photos. This was the first painting I completed when we got back while the whole experience was still fresh in my mind.
