Lake Cobb

I have painted this view of the lake several times now. Today it was mid-afternoon when I pulled up at the side of the road. The late winter snow sparkled in the sun. There was a cold Southerly but I was nicely sheltered behind the headland. I had the lake almost to myself which was a good thing. Not much traffic at all. One of the interesting challenges of being a plein air painter working next to a gravel road can be the dust kicked up by passing vehicles!
